Youth Programming Committee
MISSION
The Youngstown Youth Programming Committee (YPC) was formed in 2007. The mission of YPC is to empower youth with the resources, mentor ship and skills necessary to be leaders in building a more creative community.
WHAT WE DO
First and foremost we create, grow and sustain community! As a group we investigate our personal identities and where we come from. We use our collective knowledge to define oppression and to better understand how it impacts our various communities.
YPC exits for youth empowerment! Our work centers on facilitating youth leadership development, peer mentor-ship, and supporting participants in reaching self-defined success and growth.
We believe it is of the utmost importance to have young people as core decision makers in the Youngstown community. There for the YPC decides what after school arts classes come into Youngstown. Participants also participate in fund-raising opportunities, plan special events, and attend various workshops and performance / visual art events.
YPC members also receive stipend internships once Service Learning Hoursare completed. Internships are crafted on an individual basis to reflect personal passions and community need.

The YPC is currently accepting applications!Open to High School age youth only.
